Time for Spring Maintenance
With spring fast approaching, now is the perfect time to check over your walk-in cooler or freezer and make sure it’s ready for the heavy workload of spring and summer months. The following are some quick tips to ensure your cooler or freezer is in good working condition:

Check your door gsaket. Look for any signs of cracks or tears and replace as necessary

Check your hardware. This includes the latch and strike, hinges, and door closer. If any of these items are damaged or not fastened properly, adjust or replace as necessary.

Check your compressor and coil(s) for any signs of damage or leaks. Have any visible damage or leaks promptly checked by a licensed HVACR contractor.

If you have an outdoor box, check to make sure the rubber roof is in good condition. A ripped or torn rubber roof can cause unexpected leaks and debris build up on your roof.
These are just a few tips to help you maximize your walk-in cooler/freezer’s efficiency during the warm months. After all, energy saved is money in your pocket.
