Hinges and hardware should be strong and in good working order. The gasket along the outside perimeter of the door should not show signs of wear or cracking. The self-closing mechanism should be operational.Evaluate the MetalTake a close look at the metal panels of the walk-in freezer. Stainless steel, stucco, or embossed metal indicates a higher-end product. Look for rust, pitting, or corrosion, which are signs of galvanized steel (a lower grade metal). Optimal metals will have a painted or clear coating, which makes it easier to maintain the unit and keep it clean.Note the InteriorThe inside of the unit should have a light in working condition. The door should release from the inside for safety.
