How to Choose an HVACR Contractor

At some point, almost everyone who owns a walk in cooler or freezer was faced with the task of finding an HVACR contractor to install their refrigeration. As many can attest, this isn’t always an easy task. Below is a list of questions that should be asked, or found out about an HVACR contractor before hiring them for your job.

  • Ask for a list of references
  • Be sure they are licensed and insured
  • Be sure that they adhere to codes, both at a local level as well as a state level
  • Find out if they are NATE certified. If they are NATE certified than they are up to date on their knowledge.
  • Ask if they warranty their work, and if so for how long

As you can see, there are many things that go into choosing the right HVACR contractor. Please do yourself a favor, and be sure to do your research before making a decision as it can greatly effect the outcome of your project.
